Based in the restored Town Mill, the Totnes Image Bank is a volunteer run charity, which collects and catalogues an historic photograph archive into a digital library for the local community.

The Mitchell Trust helped fund the purchase of the first Mac computer after which the computer room became the heartbeat of the Archive.  They have recently put their entire archive of over 60,000 images on-line. Totally reliant on volunteers to promote and catalogue the archive, income is raised through subscriptions from members, selling images via an on-line shop, and raising money through audio visual events at Totnes Cinema.

Totnes Trust provides space in the restored Town Mill to support this charity to continue with their valuable work. You can visit the Image Bank every Tuesday and Friday 10.00am – 4.00pm at the Town Mill.
